FACIAL REJUVENATION

There are many procedures and products that can be used in facial rejuvenation. When we see patients in consultation, it's often beneficial to sit in front of a well-lit mirror and to carefully assess the patient's specific situation. We analyze the face, considering different areas separately, then assess the contribution of these areas to the patient's overall appearance.

  • Skin
  • Eyelids (upper and lower)
  • Forehead
  • Eyebrows
  • Cheeks
  • Jaw line
  • Neck
  • Lips

In this way, we can more clearly identify the patient's objectives and design a comprehensive plan for a renewed facial appearance. This may or may not include surgery. If it does, there are numerous surgical techniques for rejuvenation of the face.

As an example, patients often come to us complaining that they "look tired." Most often, what they call "tired" is a more general appearance of reduced energy or vitality. There are specific characteristics that produce this effect, and the procedure of analyzing the face as described above is a useful tool for identifying and isolating the precise areas and characteristics in need of improvement.

Interestingly, the patient's chronological age is of little importance in assessing one's options. When we use the word "age" we refer to the apparent, projected age of the patient's face. In fact, if a patient is healthy, we believe that all available solutions—surgical or otherwise—should be considered.

Non-surgical procedures

There is no one "best" solution to non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Accordingly, we develop a combination of personalized prescripives and treatments to address your particular needs and skin type. Most important, we encourage a total body approach—to address the root causes of tired-looking skin, and to build a foundation for sustainable skin health. Botox®, IPL, dermal fillers such as Restylane®, Juvederm™, Radiesse®, or Sculptra®, or other products like Teamine® can be part of your personalized solution.
