Breast Augmentation and Breast Lift

Breast augmentation is the most common breast procedure, and is accomplished through the use of breast implants. There are two choices for implants: saline implant and a silicone gel implant, both of which are approved by the FDA. Examples of both types of implant are shown here.

Breast lift, or mastopexy, is a procedure to raise and reshape the breast, commonly done after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss.

It is not uncommon for both procedures to be performed together.
